About Xylofutur

Among the 56 French Competitiveness Clusters, Xylofutur, which has more than 220 members and 228 accredited projects, is the only cluster dedicated to the Forest Wood and Paper sector. Its objective is to develop the competitiveness of the national sector through innovation and R&D. The renewal of the "Competitiveness Cluster" label for the period 2019-2022 as part of phase IV recognizes Xylofutur's role as a catalyst for innovation in this key sector of the bio-economy. Its geographical reach is thus expanding beyond New Aquitaine with the creation of branches in early 2020 in the following regions: Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Pays de Loire, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

Its objectives:

  • To develop, set up and support innovative projects that create added value and industrial activities for current and future target markets.
  • To animate the ecosystem of its sector by creating sustainable links between all the actors of the value chain.

Its three Strategic Business Areas (SBAs): Forest; Wood and Green Chemistry integrate the cross-cutting themes of the bioeconomy and the low-carbon economy, in order to respond sustainably to the needs of our society and preserve natural resources.
